In 2002, we acquired a very special 11-acre tract on the Kasilof River, which included a historic cabin once used by Andrew Berg, Alaska’s first licensed hunting guide. We donated the cabin to a museum, which constructed a road to retrieve this historically significant structure. Unbeknownst to us at the time, the adjacent landowner would later donate his entire homestead to a nature conservatory, ensuring the surrounding land would remain undeveloped and in its natural state. In 2016, Mindy and I built two three-bedroom, one-bath units on the property. For the previous 15 years, we had used the land as our personal camping spot, enjoying campfires, duck hunts, and exceptional salmon and steelhead fishing with our children. We cherish this special place and feel blessed to share this serene retreat with our guests.

This lodge is designed to be a home away from home. Guests are invited to start their day with a home-cooked breakfast before heading down to the river to meet their guide. With accommodations for up to 19 guests at an exceptionally reasonable rate, our lodge is the perfect base for your Alaskan fishing adventures.

Booking and Payment Policies
- Deposit: A 50% deposit is required upon booking. This deposit is payable by mail once the reservation is invoiced.
- Remaining Balance: The remaining balance of your invoice is due at least 30 days prior to your scheduled arrival.
- Payment Methods: We accept cash, traveler’s checks, and personal checks. Visa or Mastercard are also accepted for final payment, subject to a 3% merchant fee.
Cancellation Policy
- Full Refunds: Full refunds are available with written notice of cancellation at least 90 days prior to your arrival date.
